Ecopro EM Certified as an Excellent Employer of Veterans

EcoPro Group affiliates are actively hiring veterans and have consecutively received the 'Veteran Employment Excellence Certification' from the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

EcoPro EM recently held the '2024 Veteran Employment Excellence Certification Award Ceremony' at the main conference room of its Pohang campus headquarters, the company announced on the 27th.

EcoPro EM was recognized for providing quality jobs to veterans by employing a total of 10 veterans, including 5 long-term servicemen with over 2 years of service and 5 newly hired veterans with less than 2 years of service, and was certified as a 'Veteran Employment Excellence Company' by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

EcoPro BM and EcoPro Materials were also certified last year as 'Veteran Employment Excellence Companies' in recognition of their excellent employment environment for veterans, employees’ self-development and capacity building, and active job creation.

The reason EcoPro Group family companies are actively hiring veterans is to address the career discontinuity issues faced by veterans, while also recognizing that the challenging and dedicated work attitude of veterans positively contributes to the organizational culture.

EcoPro also participated in an on-site recruitment briefing held in Daejeon on the 18th, hosted by the Defense Transition Education Institute. About 40 officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers scheduled to be discharged this year attended the briefing, showing strong interest in EcoPro.

Veterans are those who have served in the military for more than 5 years in mid- to long-term service and face difficulties finding jobs in society.

Since 2015, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs has been operating the 'Veteran Employment Excellence Certification System' to encourage corporate interest in employing and nurturing mid- to long-term service veterans and to expand employment support for veterans.

Certified veteran employment excellence companies receive benefits such as preferential interest rates on loans from commercial banks for three years after certification, deferred customs inspections, and additional points in evaluations for selection as excellent companies by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration and local governments.

An EcoPro official stated, "We will continue to actively hire veterans who have dedicated themselves to the country to support their smooth reintegration into society and to utilize their abilities in the industrial field."
