Started Developing Short-Term Learning Materials Reflecting Field Demand Survey
Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is conducting a digital competency enhancement training course for the 'Gyeonggi-Teacher Creators (Creators) 1st Generation.' The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) has completed the digital competency enhancement training course for the first cohort of ‘Gyeonggi-Teacher Creators’ and is now beginning the development of short-term learning educational materials in earnest.
On the 27th, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced that in the training completed on the 26th, vice principals from elementary, middle, and high schools were appointed as experts to secure content expertise, and mentoring activities were conducted in groups.
The main topics included ▲Basic knowledge of educational copyright ▲Educational material development with mentors ▲Production of AI-utilized video materials ▲Turning educational experiences into content! Planning over editing! The program was tailored to enable Gyeonggi-Teacher Creators to develop educational materials for the field in a timely manner.
Teachers who completed the training are expected to start producing materials in earnest. Accordingly, about 80 diverse short-term learning (microlearning) educational materials necessary for the field, such as ▲Utilizing ‘Hi-Learning’ ▲Cybercrime prevention ▲Communication methods with multicultural students and parents, will be produced and provided to schools.
Kim Sang-hyun (Saesol Elementary School), a teacher who participated in the training, said, “It was very beneficial to learn how to create educational materials with various teachers from the field and to acquire professional knowledge and concrete application methods through rich experience sharing.”
The vice principals from elementary, middle, and high schools who participated in this training plan to carefully review the selection of material topics and development plans for timeliness, appropriateness, and ethics, and to assist Gyeonggi-Teacher Creators in developing educational materials together.
Lee Jung-hyun, Director of the Educational Competency Policy Division at the Provincial Office of Education, said, “We will actively support the enhancement of teachers’ expertise so that we can develop and distribute field-customized educational materials together with Gyeonggi-Teacher Creators,” adding, “We will strive to expand opportunities so that teachers, as education experts, can realize their potential as creators of educational materials.”
