Israel Conducts Three Airstrikes at Dawn
On the 26th (local time), the Iranian military claimed that its air defense system successfully intercepted an Israeli airstrike.
According to local media including the Iranian state news agency IRNA, the Iranian Air Defense Command stated in a morning press release that "the air defense system successfully intercepted and responded to the attack," adding that the damage caused by the Israeli bombing was limited.
The Air Defense Command and other Iranian military units are currently investigating the full extent of the damage.
Regarding Israel, which carried out the airstrike, they condemned it, saying, "Despite Iran's warning to refrain from adventurous actions, the criminal and illegal Zionist regime (Israel) attacked some military bases in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam regions."
In the early morning of the 26th (local time), projectiles flying over Tehran, Iran, are being intercepted.
They also urged the Iranian people to "ignore rumors reported by enemy media" and to remain calm while trusting reports from state media.
IRNA reported that around 2:15 a.m. that day, loud explosions were heard across Tehran and other parts of Iran, and soon the air defense system was activated to neutralize the Israeli airstrike.
The semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran was operating normally and that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) military facilities west of Tehran sustained no damage.
