Mercedes-Benz Electric Car's Mysterious Noise Causes 'Frustration'... Service Center Says "It's Normal"

Indoor Noise Continues... Waited a Month and a Half for Repair
"Just Attach a Sponge... Is This Warranty Repair?"

Recently, consumer concerns have been growing due to mysterious interior noises occurring in Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles priced close to 200 million KRW.

On June 25, a post regarding EQS warranty repairs was uploaded on the online community BobaeDream. The EQS is Mercedes-Benz's large electric sedan, priced between 163.9 million and 190 million KRW.

The author stated, "The noise from the hyperscreen air vent of the Mercedes-Benz EQS was so severe that I waited for a month and a half to get a warranty repair at the service center."

He added, "I waited a month and a half to receive the warranty repair and then waited for 7 hours at the center. The center just inserted a pink sponge."

He continued, "The important thing is not that the noise stopped, but that it sounds the same. So in the end, they removed it. They called this a warranty repair. I'm so angry I have nothing to say," he criticized.

The author also pointed out the service center staff's response. He said, "At the end, the advisor said, 'Other EQS vehicles also have noise, so it can't be helped. The hyperscreen originally makes noise. This is the only way to stop the noise.'"

Mercedes-Benz electric and hybrid vehicles underwent several recalls last year due to defects in electrical components and battery management system issues.

Recently, the hybrid model E300e and electric vehicle EQE350+ also sparked controversy due to mysterious loud noises during driving.
