Donation of Newly Harvested Rice Grown by Farmers to Boeun Community Center
An anonymous donor in Boeun, Chungcheongbuk-do, donated newly harvested rice ahead of winter. The donor is known to have refused to reveal their name until the end, which has moved many.
On the 25th, the Suhan-myeon Administrative Welfare Center in Boeun-gun, Chungbuk, announced that an anonymous donor recently donated 20 bags (20kg each) of newly harvested rice through a rice mill.
The donor left a message at the rice mill saying, "Please deliver it to the Administrative Welfare Center." Although the welfare center staff tried to find the donor, he only said, "Please just convey my intention to deliver it to neighbors in need."
Following the donor's wishes, Suhan-myeon plans to distribute the donated rice to 20 neighbors facing difficulties. Im Chun-bin, head of Suhan-myeon, said, "We are grateful to the person who extended a warm hand thinking of neighbors in need. We will deliver this precious heart to the community."
Boeun-gun is also known to have received the same amount of 20 bags of rice anonymously during last year's harvest season.
