The special lectures on companion culture will be themed "A Slightly Uncomfortable Truth - Coexistence and Symbiosis," covering four topics: stray cat society, bird collision prevention, coexistence between humans and animals, and insect society.

The lecturers include veterinarian Kim Jeong-ho, who recently appeared on "You Quiz on the Block" to raise awareness about the seriousness of zoos; photographer Kim Ha-yeon, active as a stray cat photographer in Seoul with 50,000 followers; entomologist Jeong Bo-hee, known as Korea's Fabre; and researcher Kim Min-young from the Bird Collision Prevention Association. These experts from various fields will directly convey the importance of coexistence and symbiosis to promote companion culture.

The special companion culture films include the 2017 documentary "I Am a Cat," which questions the happy coexistence of stray cats and humans, screened on October 28, and "Sanctuary," which tells the story of a wildlife rescue center providing shelter for wild animals, screened on November 18 at 7 p.m. at the Dalhol Cinema.

A representative from the Goseong Cultural Foundation's festival performance team stated, "This event was planned to promote the correct awareness of companion culture, respect for life, and to create a 'Companion Culture City, Goseong' where coexistence is possible."

Participation in the lectures and film screenings can be applied for through the popup link on the Goseong Cultural Foundation website, and all events are free of charge.
