Specifically, there were 1,227 approved cases, 404 rejected cases, 109 dismissed appeals, and 221 cases excluded from application. Among these, the excluded cases were able to receive full deposit refunds through guarantee insurance or priority repayment, while the rejected cases did not meet the requirements.

Among the submitted cases, there were a total of 160 appeals, of which 51 were re-approved as Jeonse fraud victims after additional verification of eligibility. A total of 2,558 appeals have been received so far, with 1,286 accepted and 1,203 dismissed. The remaining 69 cases are under review.

The committee has cumulatively approved 23,730 cases as Jeonse fraud victims to date. A total of 905 cases have been approved for urgent suspension of light and public auctions, and a total of 19,033 cases are being supported in areas such as housing, finance, and legal procedures for victims.

Tenants who have received a notice of non-recognition or have been determined as Jeonse fraud victims can file an appeal. Even if the appeal is dismissed, relief can be sought through reapplication if circumstances change in the future.

Tenants facing difficulties due to Jeonse fraud can apply for victim determination at the local city or provincial office of their residence. Once determined as victims through the committee’s resolution, they can receive guidance on support measures through the Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) Jeonse Damage Support Center (in-person and phone) and its branches (in-person).
