A fire broke out at the U.S. Forces Korea supply depot in Busan, and the fire authorities responded to extinguish it.
According to the Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters on the 24th, a fire occurred around 6:30 PM at the U.S. Forces Korea 55th Supply Depot located in Beomil-dong, Dong-gu, Busan.
The 55th Supply Depot is a U.S. military facility that stores U.S. military equipment brought into Busan Port.
The Busan Fire Headquarters initially issued a Level 1 fire response and then escalated it to Level 2 as of 7:55 PM.
So far, no casualties have been reported.
The Busan city government sent safety advisory texts (disaster messages) to Jung-gu, Seo-gu, Dong-gu, Yeongdo-gu, Nam-gu, and other districts, stating, "A fire has occurred at the 55th Supply Depot in Dong-gu, producing a large amount of smoke and dust. Nearby residents are advised to secure their windows and be cautious of safety accidents."
