Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 24th that it successfully completed the "Easy-to-Learn Youth IT Education" course on the 22nd.

This education program was designed so that even non-majors could easily learn IT-related skills, and it was prepared to strengthen young people's IT skill utilization and employment/startup capabilities.

Conducted by Sarang and Future Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Jong-mi), the training included various technologies and practical sessions over four days, such as △CHAT GPT △Generative AI △Website creation (no-code website practice) △Laser scanner and VR experience.

Participants had the opportunity to experience each technology through a combination of theory and practice, developing the ability to apply them in real situations.

In particular, through practical exercises like writing using CHAT GPT and creating music and drawings with generative AI, participants acquired useful skills for daily life. During the "Laser Scanner and VR Experience" session, they had a highly positive response from experiencing the 3D broadband scanner "Metaport Pro 2, 3" and the VR device "Oculus Quest 2," which are usually difficult to access.

One participating youth said, "It was beneficial to be exposed to various programs, and thanks to the instructor's detailed guidance, I could easily understand parts I didn't know," adding, "I hope Namyangju City offers such education frequently."

A city official stated, "We plan to continue providing various IT education programs to strengthen young people's employment and startup capabilities," and added, "We will spare no effort to actively support customized education that young people need."
