Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, took a commemorative photo on the afternoon of October 24th in the 1st conference room on the 3rd floor of the district office to celebrate receiving the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award for the '2024 Disaster Management Evaluation' results.
The Disaster Management Evaluation is a system that comprehensively assesses the disaster management capabilities of various institutions including central government, local governments, and public organizations, and is overseen by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. This year, the evaluation was conducted across 332 institutions, covering 44 indicators in 6 categories.
The district received high scores in all evaluation items and was selected as an 'Excellent Institution,' thereby receiving incentives such as the ministerial citation, prize money, and special grants.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “The district always prioritizes the lives and safety of its residents and puts full effort into preparing for various incidents, accidents, and disasters. We are very pleased that Yeongdeungpo District has been recognized as a safe city through this award. We will continue to strengthen our disaster response capabilities to create a Yeongdeungpo where residents can live with peace of mind.”
