Preparation for Realizing the Vision of the Second Half of the 8th Minseon Administration
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) held the '2025 Major Work Plan Report Meeting' from the 16th to the 24th to realize the vision of the second half of the 8th term of the elected administration.
Presided over by Mayor Kim Dong-geun, this report meeting was conducted in a way that departed from the conventional work reporting method by selecting key projects from each department to review their validity and effectiveness and discuss the direction of implementation.
The main topics included ▲strengthening strategic corporate attraction activities and creating a corporate-centered city ▲creating a walkable city by linking design and functions by space ▲improving management efficiency of institutions in the education and youth sectors ▲establishing integrated infrastructure for child care ▲formulating the 2040 Uijeongbu Urban Master Plan ▲Jisan small-scale fuel cell power generation project ▲Uijeongbu Station area development project, among others.
Based on the matters discussed in this work report, the city plans to accelerate the promotion of current projects focusing on establishing a foundation for future growth, improving the urban environment, revitalizing the local economy, and restoring public welfare.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “We must timely implement key projects closely related to designing the future vision of Uijeongbu City and improving the quality of life for citizens,” and added, “I hope everyone will do their best to produce concrete results that citizens can feel.”
