Residents of Gwangjeok-myeon, Yangju City, Donate 20 Bags of Rice for Vulnerable Groups Resident Heo Jagang, living in Hyochon-ri, Gwangjeok-myeon, Yangju-si, donated twenty 10kg bags of rice on the 23rd to help neighbors in need within the district.

On the 24th, it was announced that Heo Ja-gang, a resident of Hyochon-ri, Gwangjeok-myeon, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, donated twenty 10kg bags of rice on the 23rd to help neighbors in need within the district.


The donated rice will be used through the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest to support low-income elderly, disabled individuals, single-parent families, and other neighbors in need who are in welfare blind spots within the district.


Heo Ja-gang said, “I decided to donate with the hope that vulnerable groups and elderly living alone can enjoy a healthy meal made with newly harvested rice from our Gwangjeok-myeon,” adding, “I will continue to strive to contribute to local welfare in various ways.”


Song Su-jin, the myeon chief, expressed gratitude, saying, “Despite economic difficulties, we thank Heo Ja-gang for donating rice every year out of love for neighbors,” and added, “We will make sure to convey the donor’s precious heart, thinking of the neighbors and those in need within the district.”
