Goyang Cultural Foundation (Chairman Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 24th that it will hold the 'Baritone Go Seong-hyun & Mir Symphony' concert at Goyang Aram Nuri Aram Music Hall on the 26th.
This concert will be a special time to see Go Seong-hyun's musical journey at a glance, featuring live stage performances capturing his historic moments on screen, creating a meaningful stage where past and present meet in one place.
Baritone Go Seong-hyun, known as the 'world-renowned baritone born in Korea,' studied in Milan, Italy, and won first place in numerous international competitions such as the Puccini International Competition, gaining recognition for his talent. Since then, he has performed at famous opera houses worldwide, establishing himself as a pride of Korean vocal music. His major works include 'Rigoletto,' 'Otello,' 'Aida,' and 'Tosca.' In this concert, he will present a stage composed of his best-known arias, including ‘Dio di Giuda’ from 'Nabucco' and ‘Te Deum’ from 'Tosca.'
Currently a professor at Hanyang University, Go Seong-hyun is dedicated to nurturing future talents and continues various challenges to bring classical vocal music closer to the public. His album 'Leaning on Time' and single album 'Seosi' captivated audiences with his uniquely deep bass and resonance. In the second part of this concert, attendees will also be able to enjoy songs from his albums.

The episode featured host Lee Chang-seop visiting Hanyang University’s vocal department to attend Professor Go Seong-hyun’s lecture. Especially, the duet ‘Leaning on Time’ performed by the two during the broadcast deeply moved many viewers, and the video has garnered high views, bringing renewed attention to his past works. This concert also includes ‘Leaning on Time,’ raising expectations even higher.
Mir Symphony Orchestra at the Forefront of Popularizing Classical Music
The Mir Symphony Orchestra, which will perform with Go Seong-hyun, is a talented orchestra founded in 2016 under the name 'Ensemble The Bridge,' based on deep dedication and passion for classical music. In a short time, it gained attention in the classical music world for its outstanding interpretative skills and excellent performance ability, being invited to various music festivals such as the ‘Pyeongchang Daegwallyeong Music Festival’ and the ‘Mapo Cultural Foundation M Classic Festival,’ earning recognition for its talent.
