Yeongju City Seocheon Munjeong Riverside and Buseoksa Dual Management
Yeongju Apples, Hanwoo Beef, Ginseng, and Ingyeon Agricultural Specialties All Gathered
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk will hold the ‘2024 Yeongju Market Agricultural and Specialty Products Festival’ from the 26th of this month to the 3rd of next month at Munjeong Riverside Park and Buseoksa Temple in Yeongju.
At the Buseoksa Lawn Plaza, an apple sales booth will operate for 9 days from the 26th of this weekend to November 3rd, and at Munjeong Riverside Park, various excellent agricultural and specialty products from Yeongju will be sold for 3 days from November 1st to 3rd.
The city plans to operate sales booths in two locations, Buseoksa and Munjeong Riverside Park, to promote Yeongju’s agricultural specialty products to more tourists.
Held under the theme “Selling Sincerity, Buying Devotion,” this festival allows producers to directly participate in selling agricultural products, providing trustworthy and excellent agricultural specialties. In particular, it is expected to greatly contribute not only to increasing farmers’ income but also to revitalizing the local economy by promoting various outstanding agricultural specialties produced in Yeongju nationwide.
At Munjeong Riverside Park, the Farm Farm sales booth will sell representative agricultural specialties harvested directly at reasonable prices, and the “Cooking Cook! Culinary Cook!” program will introduce various recipes using the city’s agricultural specialties. Additionally, an auction event will offer opportunities to purchase agricultural products at special prices.
Moreover, a variety of events such as the Bountiful Harvest Festival, Agricultural Day Ceremony, Dendong Eomi Hwajeonnori (flower pancake play), Punggi Ginseng Foot Bath Experience, Yeongju Apple Balloon Making, and recreation activities will be held, along with performances by local cultural artists, presenting a rich array of sights and entertainment.
Especially, the opening celebration concert held at 7 p.m. on November 1st will be linked with the World Confucian Culture Foundation’s ‘Singsing Concert,’ featuring Dynamic Duo, Nataejoo, Signature, Jiwon, and Shin Haesol, greatly enhancing the festival atmosphere. After the concert, a spectacular fireworks display will follow, brilliantly marking the opening day of the ‘2024 Yeongju Market Agricultural and Specialty Products Festival.’
Mayor Park Nam-seo said, “Through this Yeongju Market Agricultural and Specialty Products Festival, we will be able to widely promote Yeongju Hanwoo beef, apples, Punggi ginseng, and ramie, along with other excellent local agricultural specialties nationwide.” He added, “I hope visitors during the festival will also visit representative local tourist spots such as Buseoksa Temple, Museom Village, and Yeongju Lake, and purchase many agricultural specialty products.”
