Jungjingong Hosts Communication Event as Eve of Small and Medium Business Convergence Expo

Practicing On-site Communication Through Outreach

The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) announced on the 23rd at the Gwangju Central Hotel that it has newly launched the "On-site Communication Program" as a pre-event to the "2024 Small and Medium Enterprise Convergence Expo" in collaboration with the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business Convergence Associations.


This program was established to quickly identify the difficulties faced by companies and strengthen on-site communication. SBC proactively visits company sites to provide comprehensive support including business briefings, roundtable discussions, and on-site consultations.

At the event, about 80 participants including Kang Seok-jin, Chairman of SBC, Choi Bong-gyu, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business Convergence Associations, regional federation chairpersons composed of small and medium enterprise representatives, and SBC business and field department executives gathered to discuss field-centered communication and cooperation plans for small and medium enterprises.


The main agenda included a business briefing introducing SBC’s new projects for 2025 and an open discussion. Notably, SBC announced support projects such as the "Jump-Up Program" to support business growth, the "Support Project for Utilizing Foreign Experts in Small and Medium Enterprises," and the "Preferential Savings Deduction for Small and Medium Enterprise Employees," which attracted significant interest from companies.


Based on the achievements of this event, SBC and the Federation plan to continuously promote the on-site communication program to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among small and medium enterprises, promote regional balanced development, foster win-win growth between large and small businesses, and enhance global competitiveness.


Chairman Kang Seok-jin stated, “It is necessary to actively listen to the voices of companies through on-site communication and proactively prepare support measures,” adding, “We will continue to expand field-oriented programs to more promptly resolve the difficulties faced by companies on-site.”
