Operation of Over 100 Exhibition Halls
Ulsan City will hold the "2024 Ulsan Pet Tourism Festival," where visitors can enjoy time with their pets, at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center from the 25th to the 27th.
This event was organized to establish Ulsan as a pet-friendly tourism city, following its selection as the first metropolitan city to be designated as a pet-friendly tourism city.
Starting with the opening on the 25th, over 100 exhibition halls featuring pet food, clothing, services, and care will be operated. On the 27th, a talk concert by veterinarian Seol Chae-hyun will take place.
In particular, 10 exhibition halls will offer various experiences such as "Meongmeong Ne Cut" for making memories with pets, caricatures, and pet tarot readings.
Additionally, 10 paid experience classes will be held, including making natural cowhide harnesses and dog aroma deodorants. Along with this, about 58 sales and promotional booths and a flea market with 20 teams will be prepared.
In the play zone, pet OX quizzes and pet sports events will be held. For participants' convenience, a shuttle bus running back and forth between Ulsan Station and the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center every 30 minutes will be operated throughout the festival period.
Furthermore, on the 26th and 27th, pet tours and pet camping will take place. Forty teams, who made prior reservations nationwide, will participate in a 1-night, 2-day memorable trip with their pets.
After enjoying trekking at Taehwagang National Garden, Ulsan’s representative tourist spot, as well as tours of Daewangam Park, the suspension bridge, and Myeongseon Island, participants will spend time with their pets at the Amethyst Cave Country with a starlight concert, campfire, and candlelight pledges.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “We will expand pet-friendly tourism programs and infrastructure to create Ulsan as a tourism city where people can enjoy traveling with their pets.”
