Additional Stock of Part 1 White Wine Supplied
Seven Eleven announced on the 24th that it has launched the red wine version of 'Call Me Later,' called 'Call Me Later Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon.'
This wine is also famous as the 'Ha Jung-woo Wine,' as actor and writer Ha Jung-woo released it exclusively with Seven Eleven under his name. This wine is also an art wine featuring his artwork.
The newly introduced Call Me Later Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon by Seven Eleven is a red wine from Broadside Winery, established in Paso Robles, which is gaining attention as a rival to Napa Valley in the United States. This region, adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, has favorable conditions such as a mild climate, sea fog, and limestone clay soil, making it ideal for cultivating various red grape varieties. It is characterized by long aging in oak barrels, resulting in well-ripened fruit aromas, earthy scents, and notes of porcini mushrooms.
Along with this, Seven Eleven also secured a second batch of 'Call Me Later Russian Jack Sauvignon Blanc,' which was released last August. At the time of release, it was initially sold exclusively at 30 stores, where an open-run phenomenon occurred, and the initial stock sold out in less than 30 minutes. Later, when it was introduced to all stores in September, the prepared official stock was also sold out within three days.
Seven Eleven cited 'dito consumption' as the reason for the popularity of Call Me Later wines. Dito consumption refers to the tendency to consume by directly following the tastes and trends of celebrities. Ha Jung-woo is known as a renowned wine enthusiast who even creates his own wine notes, and it is said that the wine's popularity is thanks to him introducing it as his 'one pick wine' through his social media channels.
The wine's label design and story also set it apart. The label attached to Call Me Later features one of the artworks exhibited in the 'Hit the Road' exhibition, which showcased works inspired by Ha Jung-woo's experiences during a 2022 film shoot in Morocco. The design and story played a significant role in transforming the previously hard-to-find Russian Jack Sauvignon Blanc into the sought-after Call Me Later wine.
To commemorate the launch of Call Me Later Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon, Seven Eleven is offering a promotion until the 31st. Customers can receive a 10% discount when paying with KakaoPay Money, Hyundai Card, NH Card, or Hana Card.
Song Seung-bae, the wine product planner (MD) of Seven Eleven's Beverage and Juice Team, said, "We feel that interest in the wine market itself has increased significantly thanks to this Call Me Later wine. Its rich yet elegant aroma pairs especially well with autumn, and we also recommend using the bottle as an interior decoration item after finishing the wine."
