The 29th Goyang Kkumdori Creativity and Convergence Festival, hosted and organized by the Gyeonggi-do Goyang Office of Education and sponsored by Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan), will be held on the 26th at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall.

According to Goyang Special City on the 24th, the slogan for this festival is "Goyang On(On)! United by the Edu Belt," meaning that dreaming and challenging leaders, schools, and related local organizations all come together as one through the Edu Belt to create future education together.

Marking its 29th year, the Goyang Kkumdori Festival will begin with a digital and convergence performance by artist Yeom Dong-gyun on the stage of Hall 2 at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall, followed by a choir performance from Munchon Elementary School and an opening ceremony performance by the 1st Army Division military band.

More than 120 experience booths covering science convergence, edutech, ecological environment, and local connections will be operated to help anyone easily understand future education. This year, the Edutech Teacher Research Association will showcase various edutech experiences and exhibitions.

In particular, the experience booths are operated in cooperation with related organizations such as shared schools, EBS experience vehicle school buses, Neulbom School, fire stations, police stations, the Meteorological Administration, and universities, providing diverse and broad educational opportunities so that anyone can easily understand future education.

Additionally, special lectures will be held under the themes "Brightening the World with Science" by Director Lee Jung-mo (former Gwacheon Science Museum) and "Amazing Scientific Principles with Magic" by Researcher Jeon Byung-ho (former Gyeonggi-do Convergence Science Education Institute).

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang said, "I hope this festival becomes one where students can freely express their talents and creativity, and where students, teachers, and local related organizations all become one." He added, "Going forward, Goyang City will continue to provide policy support so that our students can freely dream and challenge themselves."
