Yulhee, formerly of the group Laboum, recently revealed that "Choi Min-hwan suddenly demanded a divorce," and an expos? has surfaced claiming that 'Yulhee's running away from home' was the decisive trigger for their breakup.

On the 23rd, Lee Jin-ho, a former entertainment reporter turned YouTuber, disclosed the full story before and after the couple's divorce in a video titled "The Hellish Divorce Story of Yulhee and Choi Min-hwan."

In the video, Lee Jin-ho asserted, "The main reasons for their divorce were significant differences in lifestyle patterns and views on education." Previously, Yulhee had appeared on Channel A's "Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center" with Choi Min-hwan, where she mentioned, "Even after investing 8 million won per month on education expenses, it is still not enough," and showed a strong passion for education by sending their child to a kindergarten that took three hours round-trip.

Lee Jin-ho explained, "Yulhee was a night owl and found it difficult to wake up early in the morning to take care of their three children," adding, "The responsibility of dropping off and picking up the children fell to Choi Min-hwan. Yulhee chose a prestigious kindergarten that was three hours away round-trip and had no shuttle bus service, so Choi Min-hwan had to handle the children's transportation, and when he was busy, the in-laws took over."

The turning point in their relationship came when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted Choi Min-hwan's activities. Lee Jin-ho said, "The biggest trigger for their divorce was the situation during COVID-19," explaining, "As FT Island's performances stopped, Yulhee became more active as an influencer, engaging in group purchases and other external activities. This led to conflicts with Choi Min-hwan, who prioritized childcare and family."

He continued, "One day, a few days before an FT Island concert, Yulhee ran away from home for 4 to 5 days. Choi Min-hwan was reportedly very distressed," and added, "After Yulhee returned home, they announced their divorce shortly afterward."

Regarding Lee Jin-ho's mention that Yulhee gave up custody for the sake of the children, he explained, "Choi Min-hwan also made a decision," adding, "They left the visitation period blank so that the mother could see the children whenever she wanted." He further claimed, "Choi Min-hwan does not receive child support separately. Yulhee also agreed not to claim any property division upon divorce." From Yulhee's perspective, she is able to see her children freely without any financial burden.

Yulhee and Choi Min-hwan married in 2018 and had one son and twin daughters, but divorced last December after five years of marriage. Choi Min-hwan, who has custody of the three children, recently appeared on KBS2's "The Return of Superman," revealing his daily life raising the children alone.

Earlier, on the 22nd, Yulhee appeared on TV Chosun's "Now Alone" and indirectly revealed that her ex-husband Choi Min-hwan had demanded a divorce, saying, "I did not bring up (the divorce). Since I did not bring it up, I don't really know much about it," drawing public attention.
