Signing of the 'Local-Government-Industry-Academia Agreement for Revitalizing and Supporting Growth of Youth Startups in the Southwestern Area (South of the Han River)'
On the 23rd, Guro-gu signed a 'Local-Government, Industry, and Academia Cooperation Agreement for the Activation and Growth Support of Youth Startups in the Southwestern Region (South of the Han River)' with 13 organizations including local governments, industry, and universities, promising mutual cooperation.
The agreement involved a total of 14 organizations, including five local governments including Guro-gu Office, three industry organizations (Seoul Business Agency, Small and Medium Business Corporation, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation), and six universities (Gangseo University, Dongyang Mirae University, Seoul National University, Soongsil University, Chung-Ang University, Chongshin University).
According to the cooperation agreement, universities will discover and nurture excellent startups in the preliminary and early stages, while the district will create residential conditions for these companies and provide administrative and financial support necessary for their growth.
The industry sector will support the growth of startups in the leap stage.
The specific cooperation details include ▲matters related to the activation of youth startups in the southwestern region ▲matters related to growth support for startups in the southwestern region ▲and other matters deemed necessary for the revitalization of the southwestern region.
A Guro-gu official said, “As various organizations in the southwestern region have joined hands, we expect good results,” adding, “We will spare no continuous interest and support so that youth startups can take off in Guro-gu.”
