iM Bank launched and has been operating 'iM uniz,' a smart campus platform dedicated to universities, since March. This service features the ability to use essential university life functions such as ▲mobile student ID (identification card) ▲electronic attendance ▲management of major academic schedules ▲facility reservations all within a single platform.
Through this business agreement, the two companies plan to link LG Uplus's AI virtual campus 'UVERSE' with 'iM uniz' to create synergy between the platforms. They will also exchange smart campus construction technologies each company possesses, such as artificial intelligence (AI) translation and 3D modeling.
In particular, LG Uplus plans to sequentially build metaverse campuses at universities partnered with 'iM uniz' and provide AI-based academic support functions such as real-time interpretation and translation services.
Additionally, a separate promotional space for 'iM Bank' will be established in 'U-Street,' a virtual space where students can create groups based on their interests regardless of their affiliated university.
Executive Vice President Park said, "We expect that cooperation with 'iM uniz,' the representative smart campus platform in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, will be an opportunity for UVERSE's competitiveness to grow to the next level. We will strive to expand the virtual university campus ecosystem by not only collaborating with promising companies but also continuously communicating with university students who use the services."
