'Investment Genius' Warren Buffett, Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, expressed concern on the 23rd (local time) about social media posts claiming he supports a specific political candidate.

Warren Buffett: "I Don't Even Know How to Access Instagram... I Don't Support Any Specific Political Candidate"

According to the U.S. economic media CNBC, Chairman Buffett discovered fake political endorsement declarations using his image circulating on Instagram and issued a statement that day.

In a statement posted on the Berkshire Hathaway website, it said, "With the increase in social media use, there are false claims that Chairman Buffett recommends investment products or advocates for political candidates," adding, "Chairman Buffett does not currently, nor will he in the future, recommend investment products or endorse political candidates."

Chairman Buffett told CNBC, "I don't even know how to access Instagram," and added, "Even if my image or voice appears, I want people to know that it is definitely not me."

With less than two weeks remaining until the presidential election, there is growing interest in which candidates prominent figures in the economic and financial sectors support. The New York Times (NYT) reported yesterday that 'Wall Street Emperor' Jamie Dimon, Chairman of JP Morgan, and Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft (MS), are quietly supporting Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, is actively campaigning in support of former President Trump in this election.
