Professor Jeong Seok-chan and 3 Gold Medalists, 3 Silver Medalists, and 2 Outstanding Industry-Academia Cooperation Faculty Awarded
Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) held the awarding ceremony for the ‘2024 Seokdang Medal’ and ‘Outstanding Industry-Academia Cooperation Faculty’ on the 23rd in the president’s office, honoring faculty members with outstanding achievements in industry-academia cooperation.
They are taking a commemorative photo after the award ceremony for the 2024 Seokdang Medal and Outstanding Industry-Academic Cooperation Faculty at Dong-Eui University.
The gold medal recipients included △Professor Jeong Seok-chan (Department of e-Business, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center) △Professor Lee Won-jae (Major in Electrical and Electronic Materials Engineering, Director of the Convergence Component Materials Core Research Support Center) △Professor Park Young-do (Major in Metal Materials Engineering, Director of the Industrial Technology Development Research Institute), each awarded a pure gold medal weighing 10 don. The silver medal recipients were △Professor Lee Kyung-gyu (Department of Japanese Studies) △Professor Yoon Hye-kyung (Division of Basic Science and Liberal Arts) △Professor Jang Sung-wook (Department of Automotive Engineering), who received a pure silver medal weighing 7 don and a certificate of commendation.
Additionally, △Professor Oh Soon-young (Department of Human Engineering) △Professor Kim Sam-moon (Major in Applied Software Engineering) were selected as Outstanding Industry-Academia Cooperation Faculty and received the president’s certificate of commendation and prize money.
Since 2014, Dong-Eui University has selected professors with outstanding research performance and a certain amount of indirect research expenses from externally commissioned research funds to award certificates of commendation and the Seokdang Medal. The medal is named ‘Seokdang Medal’ after the pen name of the late Dr. Kim In-sik, founder of the Dong-Eui Academy, to honor his legacy.
