Opening of ‘Hoegi Hana Daycare Center’ in Dongdaemun-gu

Cooperation with Hana Financial Group... Construction of a Public Daycare Center from Basement 1 to 5th Floor

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) held an opening ceremony on the 22nd for the ‘Gu-rip Hoegi Hana Daycare Center,’ established through public-private cooperation.

Hoegi Hana Daycare Center was created as part of Hana Financial Group’s ‘100th Daycare Center Construction Project,’ aimed at overcoming the low birthrate issue and promoting coexistence within the local community, in collaboration with Dongdaemun-gu and Hana Financial Group.

The daycare center spans a total floor area of 604.22㎡ (183 pyeong) from the basement level 1 to the 5th floor above ground, with a capacity of 59 children.

At the opening ceremony, Mayor Ilpyeong Lee of Dongdaemun-gu and several attendees toured the facility and received a briefing on the construction process. Mayor Lee presented a plaque of appreciation to Hana Financial Group for their contribution to creating a safe and trustworthy childcare environment.

Mayor Lee stated, “I hope children at Hoegi Hana Daycare Center will nurture their dreams and grow up properly,” adding, “We will make Dongdaemun-gu a place filled with the sound of children’s laughter.”

Dongdaemun-gu plans to expand public daycare centers within new large apartment complexes such as Imun 1 District and Hwikyung 3 District next year. Furthermore, the district is continuously working to create a child-friendly environment by establishing four additional Seoul-style kids cafes that can be used year-round.
