Korea Forest Welfare Institute Announces Recruitment for 'Forestry-Forest Welfare' Integrated Management Entities Provided by Korea Forest Welfare Institute

The recruitment period is from the 23rd of this month to the 11th of next month. Forestry management entities can participate either independently or by forming a consortium with forest welfare specialists.

The Forest Welfare Institute plans to select six organizations through document and on-site evaluations.

The selected organizations will receive support including subsidy funds necessary for carrying out the support project (up to 10 million KRW per organization, with a 10% self-contribution), expert consulting, promotion and marketing of developed products and services, and capacity-building education to develop and operate complex management business models.

After the project ends, the Forest Welfare Institute will conduct a final evaluation and select outstanding management entities. Organizations selected as outstanding management entities will receive continuous support for up to three years, enabling the stepwise growth of forestry management entities.

The support project was established to help forestry households, which had focused on production and processing (primary and secondary industries), expand their scope to the sixth industry by combining forest welfare services (tertiary industry) to generate additional income.

Jo Young-soon, Head of the Private Growth Support Division at the Forest Welfare Institute, stated, “The Forest Welfare Institute will continue to provide unwavering support so that forestry workers can play a central role in providing and expanding forest welfare services.”
