Asia Economy boldly abolished the recruitment-linked internship system and the written test system including writing and general knowledge last year.

Furthermore, for the first time among domestic media companies, it introduced a practical recruitment system through the Economic Media School and hired 10 elite trainee reporters. The Economic Media School is composed of a solid curriculum necessary for entry into economic journalism, such as analysis of public disclosure materials and practical article writing, and provides the entire course free of charge to applicants.

Applicants who pass the first (document) screening attend Economic Media School lectures and complete assignments over about two weeks. Based on evaluation of attendance and assignment performance, interview candidates are selected, and those who pass the interview are hired as trainee reporters without any separate internship process.
