On the 23rd, Sanggang (霜降), the solar term when frost falls, the whole country will be cloudy but clear up from the afternoon.
There will be occasional rain in most areas nationwide until dawn, and rain will continue until the morning in the central region and Gyeongbuk, although some places will experience a lull.
In the early morning, there will be gusts of wind accompanied by thunder and lightning mainly in eastern Gyeonggi and inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon.
In the high mountains of Gangwon (above 1000m elevation) where temperatures are low, there will be places where rain and snow mix.
The expected precipitation over two days from the 22nd is 5-30mm in eastern Gyeonggi and northern Chungbuk, 5-20mm in Seoul, Incheon, western Gyeonggi, the east coast of Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, central and southern Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk, 10-40mm in inland mountainous areas of Gangwon, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo, and 5-10mm in Jeju Island.
The morning low temperature is forecast to be between 8 and 16 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 14 and 22 degrees Celsius.
After the rain stops, cold air will move southward, causing daytime temperatures to drop by about 2 to 5 degrees compared to the 22nd. Winds will also blow strongly, making the perceived temperature even lower and the weather chilly.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
There will be gusts of wind accompanied by thunder and lightning over the East Sea.
Sea waves will be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea nearshore. Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) of the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea are predicted to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters.
