"Enjoy an Oxygen Shower While Walking Along the Hwacheon Bukhang River"

Hwacheon-gun to Host 'Walking Contest on Bukhangang Riverside Oxygen Trail' on the 26th

Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Choi Moon-soon) announced on the 22nd that the '2024 Hwacheon Oxygen Trail Walking Competition,' where participants can fully enjoy autumn, will be held on the 26th along the Oxygen Trail by the Bukhan River. Participants will start at 9 a.m. after the opening ceremony and warm-up exercises at the circular performance hall in Hwacheon-gun Sports Park.

At the main venue, the circular performance hall, various activities will be available including children's dance performances, foot health acupressure, Nordic walking, aroma hand massage experiences, and a sports taping class. Around the turnaround point near Sallanggyo Bridge, various events such as a busking performance by the Shodaband, autumn flower tea experience, and calligraphy postcard workshops will be prepared.

The walking course covers an 8 km route starting from the circular performance hall, passing through the primeval forest trail, the forest bridge, Sallanggyo Bridge, Daeiri leisure road, Pontoon Bridge, and returning to the circular performance hall. On the day of the event, NH Nonghyup Hwacheon Branch will also conduct the ‘Rice Consumption Promotion Nationwide Breakfast Campaign.’

Hwacheon-gun prioritizes safety by deploying walking instructors and safety personnel at every section of the walking course and stationing emergency medical staff to establish an emergency response system in preparation for any urgent situations.
