Gachon University ranked 19th in South Korea and 601st-800th globally in the '2025 THE World University Rankings' announced by the UK higher education evaluation agency THE (Times Higher Education) on the 9th.
The THE World University Rankings, along with the QS World University Rankings and ARWU Academic Ranking of World Universities, are considered the three major global university rankings, evaluating over 2,000 universities worldwide using various indicators such as teaching, research, impact, and internationalization.
This year, Gachon University participated in the THE World University Rankings for the first time and achieved a global ranking of 601st-800th (19th domestically).
Among domestic universities, Seoul National University ranked 1st (62nd globally), KAIST 2nd (82nd), and Yonsei University 3rd (102nd).
Gachon University scored 71.4 points in this evaluation, receiving high marks in the internationalization category, which includes indicators such as the proportion of foreign faculty, international joint research, proportion of foreign students, and exchange students.
President Il-yeo Lee of Gachon University stated, "Our university is actively working to enhance international competitiveness by establishing various advanced departments and attracting excellent foreign professors and international students. We will further improve the university's competitiveness through expanding professors' international research networks and promoting joint research."
