Coreline Soft announced on the 22nd that it will unveil its AI-based software 'AVIEW SpineBH,' which segments and analyzes the spinal area by levels, at the Korean Society of Spine Radiology meeting on the 25th.
AVIEW SpineBH is AI-based software that automatically segments and analyzes the spinal region. It analyzes spinal computed tomography (CT) images, assigns numbers to vertebral bodies, and precisely measures the height and bone density of each vertebra.
Coreline Soft's existing flagship product is 'AVIEW LCS Plus,' which can simultaneously screen for the three major smoking-related diseases?'lung cancer (pulmonary nodules),' 'emphysema,' and 'coronary artery calcification'?with a single CT scan. The company explained that only one or two global medical device companies possess the advanced technology to offer a product capable of simultaneous screening for these three major diseases.
Coreline Soft's main focus on chest CT scans includes imaging not only the lungs but also the heart, aorta, spine, and other organs, allowing the acquisition of key organ information surrounding the lungs from CT scans taken for lung cancer screening. In particular, since abnormalities found in the lungs, heart, bones, or aorta often indicate a higher likelihood of problems in other areas, Coreline Soft is expanding its scope from chest CT to brain, abdominal, and spinal CT scans to apply its technology to conditions such as cerebral hemorrhage, cerebrovascular screening, quantitative analysis of fatty liver, body fat evaluation, and spinal stenosis screening. Through this, the company plans to enhance simultaneous screening products for related diseases while promoting product development and commercialization for various conditions.
Jinkook Kim, CEO of Coreline Soft, said, “Globally, the importance of ‘incidental diagnosis,’ which interprets other diseases from a single CT scan, is increasing,” adding, “We will maintain our leading position as a medical AI company.”
