Establishing a Roadmap to Implement Key Achievements Including MOU with Charlton Brown and LOI with Earthpix

Goyang City Holds Practical Meeting to Promote Major Achievements of Overseas Business Trip to Australia Goyang Special City held a working-level meeting with the responsible departments at City Hall on the 21st to discuss the major achievements made during the business trip to Australia from the 21st to the 24th of last month.

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 22nd that Mayor Lee held a working-level meeting with the relevant departments at Goyang City Hall on the 21st to discuss the major achievements from his business trip to Australia from the 21st to the 24th of last month.


The city highlighted the key outcomes of the overseas trip to Australia as follows: △ Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the establishment of a branch of Charlton Brown, a prestigious Australian vocational education school, within the Goyang Free Economic Zone △ Confirming the intention to establish an elementary school of John Paul College, one of Australia's top ten prestigious schools △ Strengthening exchange and cooperation with Gold Coast City, Australia △ Signing a Letter of Intent (LOI) for mutual cooperation with Earthpix, an Australian smart farm company, to build a Goyang-style smart farm.


The working-level meeting, chaired by the city's Planning and Policy Officer, was attended by team leaders and officers from the Childcare Division, Administrative Support Division, and Lifelong Education Division, who exchanged opinions to concretize the major achievements.


Several ideas were proposed, including support for a training program for daycare center teachers in Goyang linked to Charlton Brown’s renowned Childcare course, and promotion of linked education between John Paul College and Korean-Australian elementary schools.


In addition, long-term tasks such as establishing the Charlton Brown branch and John Paul College elementary school within the Goyang Free Economic Zone, promoting sister city and friendship city agreements with Gold Coast City, and cooperating with Earthpix to build a Goyang-style smart farm were also discussed.


A city official stated, “We plan to compile the results of this working-level meeting to prepare a detailed roadmap and carry out tasks to achieve concrete outcomes.”
