‘Dobong Socks & Small Business Sale Festa’ Held

Operation of booths for sales, promotion, food, play, and experiences
Colorful cultural performances including contest sock fashion shows

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will hold the "Dobong Socks & Small Business Sale Festa" for two days from October 25 to 26 at the plaza under the overpass near Exit 1 of Changdong Station and the surrounding roads near Seed Cube.

The "Dobong Socks & Small Business Sale Festa" is held to revitalize the local economy and increase residents' interest in products from local small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises, including the sock manufacturing industry.

In addition to product sales and promotional booths, congratulatory performances and various events are prepared, drawing great responses from residents. In fact, about 1,000 residents visited the event venue during its first opening last year.

This year, the event is even more abundant than last year, especially filled with events related to socks, a local specialized industry.

New play and experience events such as a sock photo zone, sock painting, and sock ball bowling have also been added this time.

Various booths will also be operated, ranging from product sales and promotional booths to food booths. More than 30 small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises representing Dobong-gu will participate in the sales and promotional booths to sell and promote various products. Ten sock manufacturing companies in Dobong-gu will also participate to showcase high-quality socks from Dobong-gu.

Additionally, experience booths such as sock yarn crafts, miniature bojagi magnet crafts, leather crafts, and face painting, as well as food booths offering macarons, cookies, and more, will be available.

Cultural performances to enhance the festival atmosphere are also prepared. On the first day of the festival, October 25, there will be a pre-event performance by a male saxophone duo team, a sock fashion show featuring students who won the 2nd Dobong Socks Design Drawing Contest and models, and a magic show. On the second day, October 26, stages will be set for a bubble show, busking performances, and recreational activities.
