A man in his 50s who was homeless fell into a coma after being collectively assaulted by three homeless individuals on the street in front of Yeongdeungpo Station in Seoul.
On the 22nd, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that three people, including Mr. A, were urgently arrested on charges of joint assault.
According to the police, three homeless individuals, including Mr. A, are suspected of assaulting another homeless man in his 50s, Mr. B, in front of a convenience store near Yeongdeungpo Station in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, at around 8:15 p.m. the previous day, causing him to fall into a coma.
Mr. A and the others fled the scene but were caught near Yeongdeungpo Station by police who responded to the report.
At the time, Mr. B was in cardiac arrest and was receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A police official stated, "We are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident."
