The LA LISTE 2025 Korea Awards Ceremony is a preliminary awards event held domestically by the French Embassy targeting the top 1000 restaurants, ahead of the official LA LISTE 2025 event to be held next month in Paris, France.

At the ceremony, chefs from 35 Korean restaurants that made it to the LA LISTE 2025 WORLD TOP 1000 attended, including Seoul Shilla Hotel’s La Yeon, Continental, Ariake, and Palson. The full list and rankings will be announced at the official event in Paris next month.

Seoul Shilla Hotel’s fine dining restaurants have consistently achieved excellent results in LA LISTE. Korean restaurant La Yeon was the first in Korea to enter the top 500 in 2017 with the highest score among domestic restaurants, and since entering the top 200 in 2019, it has maintained the number one position among Korean restaurants. French restaurant Continental and Japanese restaurant Ariake have also been listed in the top 1000 since 2019 and have maintained their rankings. Chinese restaurant Palson was selected for the top 1000 in 2023, making Seoul Shilla Hotel the only domestic hotel to have all its fine dining restaurants listed in LA LISTE.

Seoul Shilla Hotel’s fine dining restaurants offer seasonal course meals based on seasonal ingredients sourced from across the country and around the world, combined with the chefs’ research.

Recently, they have launched original menus reflecting current trends. At Korean restaurant La Yeon, they present native rice cooked in a pot in La Yeon’s unique style. The rice is a blend of carefully selected native rice varieties with excellent taste and aroma, highlighting the natural flavor and texture of the rice. The rare variety Cheongmuhwa steamed buns are also offered as a limited item for this fall season.

At Chinese restaurant Palson, new courses have been introduced: the 'Mihyo (美肴)' course featuring main dishes using mala, popular among the younger generation, and highballs made with Chinese liquor, and the 'Ocean Breeze' course, which modernly interprets seasonal seafood such as snow crab and lobster. French restaurant Continental and Japanese restaurant Ariake also offer autumn course meals that reinterpret seasonal ingredients like tilefish, snow crab, natural matsutake mushrooms, and persimmons in a modern style.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the selection in LA LISTE, the four fine dining restaurants of Seoul Shilla Hotel will hold an event from October 22 to 26, offering special menus for one week. During the event period, a special welcome dish and an additional glass of ros? champagne will be provided as a congratulatory gesture.
