K-Startup Participates in Singapore's 'Switch 2024'

Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, Integrated Hall Establishment
Supporting Local Expansion of Startups with Innovative Technologies

The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development announced on the 22nd that it will participate in SWITCH 2024 (Singapore Week of Innovation & TeCHnology) held in Singapore.


SWITCH is Singapore's representative startup exhibition held since 2016, supporting networking between innovative technology companies and global investors. This year, more than 300 startups from around the world will participate, and various programs will be conducted.


At this exhibition, the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, Korea Venture Capital Association, and Busan Technopark jointly established the ‘K-Startup & Busan Integrated Pavilion.’ A total of 27 startup companies will participate. The integrated pavilion was prepared to enhance synergy opportunities for domestic startups to enter the Southeast Asian market and attract global investment.

In particular, during the exhibition, the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development plans to support 10 promising startups, including DeepPlant and MediHub, which were selected independently, and deploy six university student supporters to maximize global achievements.


As a side event, the ‘K-Startup Pre-Demo Day’ will be held on the 25th at Marina Bay Sands Expo. At the Demo Day, IR pitching by outstanding startups in the bio and artificial intelligence technology fields will take place, showcasing business ideas, products, and services to local investors and buyers.


Choi Yeolsu, Acting President of the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, said, "SWITCH 2024 is an important stage where domestic startups can be recognized for their innovation in the global market," adding, "Through this participation, we hope domestic companies build global networks and leap into overseas markets through successful investment attraction."
