Yeoju City is holding a flower sharing event for two days on the 19th and 20th at the Yeoju City Culture Research Association as part of the upcoming Ogoknaru Festival. Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 21st that the Yeoju Potted Plant Research Association will hold a flower sharing event for two days on the 19th and 20th during the upcoming Ogoknaru Festival.
At the Ogoknaru Festival site near the waterwheel, flower sharing and potted plant auctions will be held twice a day at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Approximately 2,000 potted plants, including rubber trees and pothos, will be prepared.
The Yeoju Potted Plant Research Association expressed hope that visitors to the Ogoknaru Festival will return home with warm hearts and hands full of flowers through this event.
The Yeoju Agricultural Technology Center supports agricultural research associations by crop type to cultivate professional farmers. The Yeoju Potted Plant Research Association was established in 2004 and currently has about 80 members working hard for the development of potted plants in Yeoju.
Jeon Chang-hyun, Director of the Technology Extension Division, said, “We will strive to widely promote Yeoju potted plants and develop Yeoju’s floriculture industry.”
