Gangwon Provincial University (President Kim Kwang-rae) announced on the 21st the design (proposal) competition for the "Central Information Center Green Remodeling Project."
The Central Information Center of Gangwon Provincial University, located in Jumunjin-eup, Gangneung-si, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, has been open for 25 years and is in urgent need of improvements in energy performance and indoor air quality. Accordingly, it was selected for the 2023 Public Building Green Remodeling Competition hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the remodeling of the Central Information Center (library) will be promoted.
Submission of proposals will be conducted at the Gangwon Provincial University Secretariat, with a deadline of November 21. The proposals will be reviewed on November 27, and the results will be announced the following day, Thursday, the 28th.
President Kim Kwang-rae stated, "Through this green remodeling project, we will do our best to transform the Central Information Center into a pleasant community space frequently visited by our students and local residents."
To improve energy performance, the Central Information Center (library) plans to introduce enhanced internal and external insulation, high-performance windows, heat recovery ventilation systems, high-efficiency lighting (LED), and heating and cooling systems, as well as facilities to improve indoor air quality.
