Artist Studio, the distributor, announced on the 21st that the volleyball movie "1seung," starring actors Song Kang-ho and Park Jung-min, will be released in December.
"1seung" tells the story of a professional women's volleyball team with a rarely possible chance of victory, consisting of a coach who has never won, an owner who has no intention of winning, and players who do not know how to win, as they take on the challenge for their first win.
Actor Song Kang-ho plays the role of Kim Woo-jin, a volleyball coach who has never won a game and is known for his bad luck, serving as the central figure. Park Jung-min portrays Kang Jung-won, an attention-seeking team owner who offers a shocking prize of 2 billion won for the first win. Jang Yoon-joo plays Bang Soo-ji, a volleyball player who has endured quietly on the bench for 20 years.
Director Shin Yeon-sik, who wrote the screenplays for the films "Dongju" (2016) and "Spiderweb" (2023), and directed the Disney+ OTT drama "Samsiki Samchon," took the helm of the film.
