Ahead of the meeting between President Yoon Suk-yeol and People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon, the Democratic Party of Korea stated, "The public will not tolerate a political show without results." Party leader Lee Jae-myung said, "I hope Leader Han will persuade President Yoon well and bring about a shift in the government's policy direction."

At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 21st, Leader Lee said, "Whether it's a private meeting or a formal meeting, what matters is that they meet." He added, "I hope it does not end with excuses or mere formalities, but produces progressive and positive outcomes," and said, "I hope Leader Han conducts the meeting well and, if possible, also meets with opposition party leaders."
Park Chan-dae, the floor leader who attended the meeting, said, "Leader Han should actively request full acceptance of the 'Kim Geon-hee Special Prosecutor Act' during his meeting with President Yoon this afternoon." He continued, "Personnel reshuffles in the presidential office, suspension of First Lady Kim Geon-hee's external activities, and cooperation in investigating suspicions are measures to prevent future crimes. They cannot be means to cover up past crimes." Leader Han had presented the 'three major demands' to President Yoon and First Lady Kim on the 17th. Floor leader Park argued that the three demands alone are insufficient and that the special prosecutor law must be accepted.
Chief spokesperson Cho Seung-rae warned in a briefing the day before, "We clearly warn that the public will not tolerate a 'political show' without results that reflect the people's will," adding, "If Leader Han fails to produce results that the public can accept this time as well, the Yoon administration and the party cannot avoid mutual destruction." President Yoon had dinner with Leader Han and other ruling party leaders on the 24th of last month but faced criticism for ending the meeting empty-handed without discussing any separate issues. Chief spokesperson Cho insisted that this meeting should achieve acceptance of the Kim Geon-hee Special Prosecutor Act, resolution of the medical crisis, and explanations regarding the 'Myeong Tae-gyun suspicions.'

Assemblyman Jeon Yong-gi analyzed that the conflict between President Yoon and Leader Han would deepen further due to this meeting. On CBS Radio, Assemblyman Jeon said, "Leader Han will try to bring up new topics by any means, and President Yoon will try to defend by any means," adding, "I think this will become another source of conflict." Furthermore, he claimed, "By having the Chief of Staff attend, a clear signal was given to distinguish between public and private matters." Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok will attend the 'Yoon-Han meeting' on this day.
