At a press briefing held at the National Assembly on the same day, Floor Leader Choo Kyung-ho stated, "The People Power Party strongly condemns North Korea's reckless military cooperation with Russia, including the deployment of military units that threaten world peace," and urged, "North Korea should immediately withdraw its troops from the Russia-Ukraine war."

He continued, "The government should be fully prepared with overwhelming force to retaliate immediately if Kim Jong-un makes a reckless misjudgment," and added, "The People Power Party will push for the adoption of a National Assembly resolution condemning the barbaric behavior of Kim Jong-un's North Korean dictatorship, which threatens peace on the Korean Peninsula and the world daily through acts such as recent railway bombings, deployment to Russia, and balloon litter incidents."
Senior Spokesperson Han Ji-a also commented, calling it "a serious challenge against international law and security order," emphasizing, "North Korea gains nothing from troop deployment. They must immediately stop this irrational and reckless provocation." She further stated, "The National Assembly must also unite national capabilities through bipartisan cooperation. We urge the opposition party for magnanimous cooperation."
Members of the People Power Party from the National Defense Committee and the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee issued a statement condemning, "North Korea's troop deployment is a reckless provocation that participates in Russia's war crimes violating international law and a pointless miscalculation." They urged, "Please join us in adopting a resolution against the barbaric behavior of the North Korean dictatorship."
