On the 20th, at Seolhaewon in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province (Par 72, 7,292 yards), Jo Woo-young staged an 8-under-par rally in the final 3rd round of the Korean Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour The Charity Classic (total prize money 1 billion KRW) to secure a come-from-behind victory (16-under-par 200 strokes). This marked his second win in 1 year and 6 months since participating as an amateur in the Golfzon Open last April, and his first victory since turning professional in October of the same year, earning a winner’s prize of 200 million KRW.

Starting from a tie for 11th place, 4 strokes behind, Jo Woo-young showcased perfect play with 8 birdies and no bogeys. He got off to a great start with a birdie on the 1st hole (par 5) and consecutive birdies on the 3rd and 4th holes. He then entered the title race by securing back-to-back birdies on the 9th and 10th holes. Adding consecutive birdies again on the 13th and 14th holes, he shook off his competitors’ pursuit and celebrated his victory by lowering his score by one more stroke on the final 18th hole (par 5).

Heo In-hoe added 4 under par to finish in 2nd place (14-under-par 202 strokes). Kang Kyung-nam also shot 3 under par to rise to a tie for 3rd place (13-under-par 203 strokes). Meanwhile, Lim Ye-taek, who was co-leader with Bae Yong-jun the previous day, managed only 1 under par and dropped to a tie for 3rd place. Lee Hyung-jun and Bae Yong-jun tied for 5th place (12-under-par 204 strokes), Go Gun-taek and Lee Tae-hee tied for 7th place (11-under-par 205 strokes), and Jang Yoo-bin and Lee Sang-hee finished tied for 11th place (10-under-par 206 strokes).
