Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 19th that the 2024 7th Dong-o Village Festival ‘Dong-o Masil Festa,’ held at the Dong-o Village shopping district in Singok 2-dong, concluded successfully with many citizens participating.
This year’s Dong-o Village Festival, held after being selected for the Gyeonggi Province Merchants Association public contest project, received favorable reviews by offering various attractions and entertainment such as stage performances, experience programs, and a flea market (plimarket).
Additionally, in connection with the ‘2024 Uijeongbu Dong-o Masil Run event’ held at the same time, food coupons were provided to marathon finishers, and a payback promotional event was conducted, attracting many visitors to the Dong-o commercial district.
Kim Su-gon, president of the Dong-o Village Merchants Association, said, “We thank everyone who worked hard to make the Dong-o Village Festival a great success,” and added, “In these difficult times of high inflation, I hope this festival will help the small business owners in the Dong-o Village shopping district.”
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “We thank all the citizens who visited the festival,” and added, “We will continue to strive to further develop and revitalize the Dong-o Village Food Town commercial district.”
