Eom Uisik, Acting Mayor of Guro District, Meets with District Council Chairpersons on the 18th Morning to Promise 'Maintaining a Continuous Communication System and Close Cooperation'
On the morning of the 18th, Guro-gu held a meeting between Acting Mayor Eom Eui-sik and the Guro-gu Council chairpersons in the chairperson’s office of the Guro-gu Council to discuss current issues.
The meeting, held ahead of the 331st extraordinary session of the Guro-gu Council, was attended by three officials from the district office including Acting Mayor Eom Eui-sik, and six council members including Chairperson Jeong Dae-geun, the vice chairperson, and standing committee chairs.
At the meeting, Acting Mayor Eom Eui-sik said, “I feel a heavy responsibility in taking on the role of acting mayor during a time when various pressing issues are accumulating,” and added, “As acting mayor, I will do my best to promote regional development and improve the lives of residents.”
He also emphasized that it would be difficult to achieve these goals without the cooperation and support of the council.
In response, Chairperson Jeong Dae-geun and the council chairpersons said, “We hope that the public service community will not be shaken by this situation and will faithfully fulfill their fundamental roles to enhance the welfare of residents,” and added, “The Guro-gu Council also promises active cooperation and support.”
During the subsequent meeting, the Director of the Planning and Economic Bureau of Guro-gu explained the overall details regarding the acting mayor system, including related regulations, scope of duties, and duration of operation, and expressed the intention to maintain a continuous communication system with the council in the future and seek solutions to local issues through sharing key administrative information.
