Yangju Fire Station will distribute residential fire alarms and conduct fire prevention safety consulting for 13 residential vinyl houses in Yangju City until the 22nd. The Yangju Fire Station in Gyeonggi Province (Chief Kang Deok-won) announced on the 18th that it will distribute residential fire safety equipment (powder fire extinguishers, standalone smoke detectors) to 13 residential vinyl greenhouses in Yangju City and conduct fire prevention safety consulting until the 22nd.
Residential vinyl greenhouses are difficult to respond to and evacuate quickly in the event of a fire due to rapid combustion expansion. They are mainly located on the outskirts of urban areas, where access roads are narrow or unpaved, making it difficult for fire trucks to approach, thus posing a high risk of human and property damage.
Accordingly, the fire station will promote ▲identification of vulnerable factors and removal of potential hazards ▲confirmation of obstacles to firefighting activities ▲distribution of residential fire safety equipment ▲dissemination of various accident cases and fire safety consulting.
Chief Kang Deok-won said, "It is most important to prevent fires in advance through meticulous safety management," adding, "We will do our best to protect citizens' lives and property through continuous fire prevention activities."
