Selected for 'Construction Safety Management System Establishment Project'
Gyeonggi Province received the ESG and Shared Growth Award at the 2024 Korea Construction Safety Innovation Awards held during the '2024 Korea Construction Safety Expo' on the 18th. Gyeonggi Province received the ESG and Shared Growth Award at the 2024 Korea Construction Safety Innovation Awards (K-Consafety Awards) held at the ‘2024 Korea Construction Safety Expo’ on the 18th.
The ‘2024 Korea Construction Safety Innovation Awards’ are hosted by the five major construction safety organizations and KINTEX Co., Ltd., and winners are selected through evaluations by experts from the construction, safety industries, and media. Gyeonggi Province was honored with the Construction Safety Executive Council Chairman’s Award in the ESG and Shared Growth category for its ‘Gyeonggi Province Construction Safety Management System Establishment Project.’
The Construction Safety Management System is scheduled to be completed by January 2026 and will include construction safety management, comprehensive analysis, an integrated portal, and a construction safety database. It is intended to be used by various stakeholders such as construction project ordering officials from provincial, city, and county offices, permit officials, safety management indicator officers, and construction site managers.
Once the system is established, it will enable real-time monitoring and management of construction site safety conditions, support administrative procedures, provide communication channels among stakeholders, and offer alerts during hazardous process periods, significantly improving the efficiency of safety and project management. It is also expected to contribute to the establishment and spread of a safety culture by raising awareness of construction safety.
Won Jin-hee, Director of the Labor Safety Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, “We are honored to receive the ESG and Shared Growth Award at the 2024 Construction Safety Innovation Awards,” adding, “Through the ‘Gyeonggi Province Construction Safety System Establishment Project,’ we will strive harder to create a worker-centered safe construction site environment and establish a safety culture, including reducing fatalities at construction sites.”
