Designer Says, "Dokdo Is Our Land... Don't Covet It"
Hanbok designer Lee Sun-young's hanbok fashion show held on Dokdo has become a hot topic.
The "2024 Lee Sun-young Dokdo Hanbok Fashion Show" took place from the 14th to the 16th on Ulleungdo and Dokdo. The event was hosted by the local media outlet Gyeongbuk Ilbo and organized by "Lee Sun-young Hanbok." On the 15th, designer Lee posted related photos and videos on her social networking service (SNS), announcing, "I participated in Korea's first Dokdo Taegeukgi Hanbok fashion show together with the exclusive models of Lee Sun-young Taegeukgi Hanbok and the models who applied for the Taegeukgi Hanbok."
Regarding the landing on Dokdo on the 15th, the designer said, "Due to rain that started the day before, it was difficult to land, but miraculously, we were allowed to land on Dokdo in the rain." She added, "Dokdo is our land, Dokdo is Korean land, Dokdo is the territory of the Republic of Korea, which we prove through Taegeukgi Hanbok and Dokdo Hanbok," and emphasized, "Do not encroach."

A netizen presumed to be a participant said, "In the rain, with the Taegeukgi fluttering, I kept exclaiming in awe as I returned.
