Daesang announced on the 18th that it will introduce a variety of products to the world at SIAL Paris 2024, held in Paris, France from the 19th to the 23rd, featuring the kimchi brand 'Jongga' and the global food brand 'O'Food.'

This year marks the 60th anniversary of SIAL Paris, a food industry exhibition that gathers food industry experts and investors from around the world. Along with Germany's 'Anuga' and Japan's 'Foodex,' it is considered one of the world's top three food exhibitions. The theme of this year's exhibition is 'Lead the Change,' with 7,500 companies from 130 countries participating and showcasing about 400,000 products.

Among Daesang Jongga products, 'Baek Kimchi' and 'ABC Kimchi' made with apple, beet, and carrot, as well as 'Kimchi Spread,' were selected for the 'SIAL Innovation Award Selection,' given to products exhibiting innovation and creativity at the exhibition.

Jongga will also showcase traditional kimchi varieties such as 'Pogi Kimchi,' 'Mat Kimchi,' and 'Spicy Silbi Kimchi,' which retain the authentic spicy flavor, along with kimchi tailored to local tastes like 'Kale Kimchi,' 'Carrot Kimchi,' and 'Cabbage Kimchi.' Various O'Food products, including stick-type seasoned seaweed, seaweed chips, and tteokbokki, will also be prepared.

Ourhome, a specialized catering company, plans to exhibit 107 representative products at the event, including home meal replacements (HMR) like tteokbokki and gimbap, ingredients such as kimchi and tofu, sauces, and flavored oils. 'Gusshibanga Cheongip Kimchi,' which won the grand prize in the SIAL Innovation Award's convenience food category, will also be displayed in the main hall of the exhibition.

Ourhome also plans to promote the taste and convenience of its products by offering freshly prepared royal bulgogi japchae and fresh kimchi to exhibition participants. Leveraging this exhibition, the company aims to showcase its research and development and manufacturing capabilities and accelerate exports to overseas markets including the Americas, Europe, Central Asia, and South America.

Additionally, Binggrae will set up a booth to introduce plant-based Melona to Europe. The plant-based Melona is an export-only product that replaces all dairy ingredients with plant-based raw materials while replicating the original Melona flavor. Last year, Binggrae began exporting plant-based Melona primarily to European countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. Going forward, the company plans to launch new flavors tailored to local tastes and expand its export countries and retail channels to increase Melona sales.
