Kakao Mobility Signs Agreement with Samsung C&T to Apply Robot 'Bring' in Residential Spaces

Robot Solution Bring, Expanding Applications to Residential and Building Sectors

Kakao Mobility announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with Samsung C&T Construction Division to expand the application area of Kakao Mobility's robot solution 'BRING,' which has been introduced in hotels and office spaces, to residential spaces.

Based on Kakao Mobility's robot solution 'BRING,' the two companies have agreed to establish a standardized environment for services such as delivery and cleaning. Samsung C&T will cooperate in developing specialized services and future residential culture for houses and buildings managed through its residential platform 'Homeniq' and building platform 'Bynd.'

Kakao Mobility has laid the groundwork to extend BRING, which has been applied in hotels and complex office spaces, to residential spaces. The scope of services provided will also be expanded from existing indoor delivery to cleaning, outdoor delivery, valet parking, and more, aiming for functional expansion of BRING.

Since April, Kakao Mobility has diversified the environments where BRING is provided, starting with the complex cultural space 'Nudit Seoul Forest' in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, and in August, the resort 'Lestry Resom' in Jecheon, Chungbuk. A Kakao Mobility official explained, "Thanks to BRING's versatility, which allows it to provide services in various environments regardless of building design or robot manufacturer, the application range continues to expand."

Additionally, the two companies will collaborate through Kakao Mobility's 'Kakao T Parking' and Samsung C&T's housing and building platform businesses to build and demonstrate specialized services such as smart parking, charging infrastructure, and robot valet parking.

After optimizing through large-scale robot service pilot applications with up to 20 units in two newly built Raemian apartment complexes, Kakao Mobility's robot and parking solutions will gradually be applied to multiple complexes.

Jang Sung-wook, head of Kakao Mobility's Future Mobility Research Institute, said, "Through the agreement with Samsung C&T, we have expanded the application range of BRING, which integrates Kakao Mobility's platform technology, to residential spaces and can also challenge Kakao T Parking in a more advanced form. We will continue to do our best to make robot technology a part of everyday life."
