Seven Representative Novels by Han Kang to Be Displayed at Book-Reading Guro
Starting October 19
Guro District announced that, in celebration of author Han Kang's Nobel Prize in Literature, it will exhibit Han Kang's novels at the outdoor library "Book-Reading Guro" along the Anyangcheon Stream starting from the 19th.
The district has been operating the outdoor library "Book-Reading Guro" in the Ecological Flower Garden area of Anyangcheon Stream since September 29, and will continue until October 26.
During the operation period, anyone visiting Anyangcheon Stream can freely borrow and read books from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekends. A variety of cultural performances, including magic shows and music performances, are held every week, attracting many visitors.
The district will exhibit a total of seven representative novels by Han Kang, including "Human Acts" and "I Do Not Bid Farewell."
Through this, visitors will be offered a unique reading experience, and it is expected to serve as an opportunity to naturally promote the excellence of Korean literature.
An official from Guro District stated, "With ongoing interest in Han Kang, we anticipate a strong response, as we are exhibiting representative novels that have been difficult to obtain," adding, "We hope for much interest and participation."
As the operating hours of the outdoor library "Book-Reading Guro" may be adjusted depending on weather conditions to ensure the safety and health of visitors, it is recommended to check the Guro-gu Integrated Library "Lighthouse of Wisdom" website in advance for information on operation during rainy weather and detailed schedules.
