Ranked No.1 Among Top 100 Brands in Nikkei Survey in Japan
Samsung Electronics ranked first in the 'Future Brand Index 2024' announced by FutureBrand, a global brand consulting firm based in the UK. This selection reflects the company's recognition not only for product sales but also for providing consumers with emotional enjoyment and intelligent innovation.
According to FutureBrand's survey on the 18th, Samsung Electronics received the highest score in brand perception evaluation among the top 100 companies by market capitalization according to PwC. The evaluation comprehensively assessed 18 factors including innovation, authenticity, inspiration, well-being, and premium through interviews with over 3,000 experts.
Samsung Electronics started at 5th place in the first survey in 2014, ranked 3rd in 2016 and 2020. However, it dropped to 13th in 2021 and 11th in 2022, then rebounded to 5th in 2023, and finally secured 1st place this year, greatly recognizing its brand value. This achievement is interpreted as a result of Samsung Electronics' continuous pursuit of innovation and consumer-centric strategies.
FutureBrand stated, "Samsung Electronics demonstrates that it is not merely a company selling products but one that faithfully fulfills its role as a provider of solutions that enhance customers' lives."
Apple, which was ranked first in last year's survey, fell to 3rd place, while ASML, the world's leading semiconductor lithography equipment company from the Netherlands, jumped from 9th last year to 5th this year.
